Dutugamunu was a great king. He was born in the ruhunurata. His father was king kawantissa and mother was queen viharamahadevi. He had only one brother.he was tissa.prince dutugamunu had a religious education. He was very brave in his child hood.
He had ten giants. King dutugamunu defeated king elara.
He built many tenples and shaines. Ruwanweliseya,mirisawetiya,and lovamahapaya wero built by king dutugamunu.
he did an unique service for the buddha sasnna,and united the country.king dutugamunu loved his mother land and buddhism very much.
